Pinion Engineering & Design, Inc. is an engineering and design consultancy specializing in productizing ideas - simply stated, we take an idea and turn it into reality.

 

Our services include engineering design, mechanism design, industrial design, drawing packages, manufacturer liaison, surfacing, prototype sourcing, design review, database revision control, short run assembly, hardware layout, thermal studies, FEA, and others. We have served our diverse clients in several ways from the whole package to specialized jobs within a project such as high-end surfacing, mechanism design and COGS reduction.

 

Pinion made its mark working with San Francisco bay area design firms by adhering to design language and industrial design requirements throughout the project, bringing renderings to life. With over 30 years of CAD experience, the knowledge of good CAD is translated to great products including ISDA and Red Dot awards, and multiple patents throughout the years.

 

Pinion re-located to Montana in 2007 and opened an office in historic downtown Bozeman. Here we have expanded with an extended lab space hosting specialized and custom testing instrumentation and multiple FDM and SLA 3D printing devices for on-demand prototyping.
